Couple of years since I've been to Cadwell and nearly forgotten what a fantastic circuit it is. Thanks to Geoff P and the team for a great day- perfect weather with a nice mix of dry then slippy conditions....then really dry and sunny for the last session. Seemed to be some good driving standards on the whole and I hope everyone else had a good time.

I too had a great day at Cadwell.....even enjoyed the damp stuff. Had a very useful coaching session with Austin Kinsella which greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the circuit if not my driving!

I guess Austin must have been that left seat driver I kept seeing. I was thinking he was doing like my children used to. But you couldn't hear the brm brm noises.thumbs up

blushing smiley Great day, and despite being slightly less nimble than some, my 10 year old Zetec was in really good form on Yoko 48s for both wet and dry sessions .

confused smiley I really must do something to the engine other than change the plugs after a decade - if only because it deserves it rather than needs it wink smiley

Mostly dry

Hmmm..... were you driving on the same circuit as me then Steve??? wink smileysticking out tongue smiley - I only had one truly dry session all day!!

Luckily (as I'd never been to Cadwell before!) it was the first one cool smiley and the track was either soaking wet or at least damp for all the others - but despite (or perhaps because of??? toothy smiley) the rain I had loads and loads of fun. Was really great to have instruction on that first session too as I at least had a good idea of the proper lines I should be taking in all of the corners when it did rain!

I just loved the combination of Park - Chris Curve - Gooseneck at the top and I couldn't believe just how fast you could go up the hill to Charlies once I'd found the guts (from somewhere!) to keep on the gas all the way through toothy smiley. I did have a few hairy wobbles coming off the mountain during the day especially when it was wet, and managed to end up facing the wrong way once blushing smiley - but luckily nothing got hurt apart from my pride, so all in all a brilliant day.

Finally I still have the grin permanently stuck on my face thinking of one session when I went out as a passenger with Paul (paulyb) and he showed me just how fast you could go and how much fun you could have on slicks in the wet with 220bhp under the bonnet - power slides all the way round Chris Curve at 90 mph!!!! thumbs uptoothy smiley Just brilliant!

Thanks again to all the organisers for making it such a great day - can't wait for the next one now toothy smileythumbs up

Thanks, as always, to the organisersthumbs up

I really started to feel good following (Autin's) training. Before then I wasn't confident to press on.

Jan, I was thinking much the same. Who with? Mail me offline.

Just out of interest how many cars on circuit at once? Cadwell allow up to 26 but that seems like a lot.

I'd like to add my thanks to the organisers. Had a great day and on the second session got hold of an instructor, who explained, very nicely, how frequently I was going wrong. Getting some instruction is really worth the time and effort, if you have a chance at one of the other track days take it.
Thanks to all.

More thanks to the organisers. Cracking day all round. Its been said before but I’m amazed at how much a difference the instructors make, much more aggression needed with the throttle!

Thanks again to the yellow superlight driver for storing my kit.
